The Old Manse is a Grade II Victorian house on a charming little street, lying just over the bridge beside the river Coquet. The front garden overlooks the river and there is a wonderful view over the castle from the back of the house.

The large, airy hall with its high ceilings and original architectural features sets the scene for a house which has been tastefully decorated and furnished to reflect the living of a bygone age.

There is a private sitting room and bathroom, and all guest accommodation is set on the second floor up an elegant private staircase.

The dining room, where an excellent breakfast is served, is on the ground floor and has views over the garden down to the river.

There is plenty of private parking available to our guests, though we can also arrange to meet you from Alnmouth, our local rail station, should you be arriving by train.
